Q: What should I bring to the track?

A: Lime Rock Park is truly a park that has a racetrack winding through it, so plan for a day at Lime Rock the same way you would plan for a day in the park! The track purposely does not have bleachers or grandstands, so plan on bringing blankets and/or chairs to use on the spectator hillsides. Suntan lotion is always a good idea and since the events are rain or shine, an umbrella and rain jacket should be included in your backpack. Don't forget your camera, cooler and a "Sharpie" for autographs!

Q: Does the track have food concession areas?

A: Lime Rock Park Catering sells a tasty variety of breakfast and lunch meals from a number of locations: one in the Outfield, one in the Infield and one in the A Paddock. We also deploy a number of hot dog stands -- Hummel Bros. is our official Hot Dog. Lime Rock Park's official Bottled Water is Crystal Rock, the official Beer is Harpoon, and the official Soft Drink is Coca-Cola.

Q: Can I bring my own food and cooler?

A: Yes, you can bring a cooler with food and drinks, and there is no size restriction on the coolers. Glass bottles are prohibited at the track, so please bring your beverages in cans or plastic bottles.

Q: Are dogs allowed?

A: No dogs allowed anywhere in the park or in the Paddocks.

Q: Where do I park once I get to the track?

A1: General Parking at Lime Rock is free and we have plenty of event parking staff who will show you exactly where to park when you arrive. You just have to decide if you want to park in the Infield (enter through the Lime Rock Park Main Entrance, 60 White Hollow Road) or the Outfield (directly off of Route 112). Parking in the Outfield means a short walk over the pedestrian bridge at the end of the front straight. Handicapped parking is available in both the Infield and Outfield parking areas; a valid handicap-parking permit must be shown in order to park in the designated area; we will direct you to the handicapped parking locations. All parking is convenient to the Spectator Hillsides and Viewing Areas, and we make the journey to the perfect spot on the hill even easier by providing Courtesy Golf Cart Shuttles to help you manage the kids and the cooler.

A2: New! You now have the option of a Guaranteed Infield Parking spot on race days – regardless of when you arrive – for a fee of $15. We will hold a parking spot for you, even if you arrive just minutes before the green flag flies for the feature race! This does not mean we are charging for parking: If you want to park in the Infield for free, you must arrive early in the morning and you will likely be parked in the Infield – but we can’t guarantee that. Remember, Guaranteed Infield Parking is simply a choice you have to guarantee that Lime Rock Park will save an Infield Parking spot for you regardless of when you arrive on a Race Day.

Q: What is the Paddock?

A: The Paddock is where the race teams park their transporters. These transporters become temporary garages where the race mechanics prepare the race cars. Lime Rock Park has two Paddock areas -- the A Paddock, which parallels pit lane, and the Sunoco B Paddock, which is inside the Downhill corner. Paddocks are where you can see the race cars, drivers, engineers and mechanics up close. Paddock access is free, and children under 18 are welcome in the Paddock as long as an adult is with them.

Q: What if it rains during an event?

A: The events at Lime Rock Park take place rain or shine so make sure you bring your rain gear. If the race is postponed because of weather your ticket will be honored as a Rain Check for the make-up date. Please visit our website, www.limerock.com, to check on the weather at the track; we update it constantly.

Q: Is there a campground at Lime Rock Park?

A: Yes. Camping at Lime Rock Park requires the purchase of a weekend admission ticket (unless you are a Season Pass holder). Lime Rock Park charges a per-event campsite fee ($15 in Advance, $25 at Gate). You may purchase up to three (3) sites. This fee covers the designated number of nights of each particular race weekend, whether it’s two, three or four nights. Camping begins 9:00 a.m. on Thursday of event week.

Call 860.435.5000 ahead of time to arrange payment of the Camp Site Fee and for more details. We offer a designated Family Area with special “quiet” evening hours, too. Reserved RV spots are also an option and must be purchased in advance (see below).

Q: Are there facilities for RVs?

A: We have reserved RV spots that may be purchased in advance. Lime Rock Park does not offer electric or water hookup facilities in our RV area. Pumping can be arranged by calling "PJ's" at 203.748.6906.

Q: What are the vehicle weight/length/width limits for the Infield drive-over bridge, also know as the Bailey Bridge?

A: 10 tons (20,000 lbs), 40-feet long and 12-feet wide. Anything larger needs a track escort across the racetrack. Please call 860.435.5000 in advance for escort information.

Q: Can I barbeque or grill at the track?

A: Grilling is allowed in the camping area in the Infield, as long as you're using a grill or hibachi. Grilling is not allowed on the Spectator Hills and the Paddock areas.  And, as mentioned before, coolers are allowed at Lime Rock Park making it easy for you to enjoy your barbeque at the track.

Q: Where is "Will Call?”

A: Will Call is located in the small Registration building at the end of the Main Entrance stone driveway; bear right as soon as you turn into our entrance off of 60 White Hollow Road and follow the stone driveway until it ends. Will Call is open between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. during major event days.

Q: Can I ride my bike at the track?

A: Bicycles are allowed in camping. After 6 p.m., fans and participants may ride bicycles in the Paddocks and on roadways at Lime Rock Park.

Q. Where is the nearest gas station?

Both are less than 10 minutes from Lime Rock. Please visit our area services page on our website for more choices and information. Click here.
