After a one-year hiatus, A Taste of The Litchfield Hills is back on track! The 25th anniversary of this popular food and wine festival will be held on Labor Day Weekend, Sept. 4-6, 2010, at Lime Rock Park in Lakeville, Conn.

A Taste of The Litchfield Hills, Connecticut's oldest food and wine festival, has attracted thousands of visitors annually since 1985 to enjoy delicious dishes, outstanding wine, live entertainment and upscale shopping. From traditional New England fare to international specialties, the menu at A Taste of The Litchfield Hills 2010 will feature a variety of house specialties prepared by chefs from local restaurants, bistros and other purveyors of fine foods and individually served in grazing-sized portions.

Complement your repast with an exciting selection of wines served by the glass from award-winning area wineries. Draught beer, premium soft drinks and gourmet coffee will also be served. Plus, there will be live music and upscale shopping in an outdoor bazaar offering artisan crafts, gourmet food products and unique gifts.

Motorsports Photography Workshop

Lime Rock is offering aboth a one- and two-day Motorsports Photography Workshop during Historic Festival 28, September 3-6, 2010.

The one-day is $500, and the two-day is $900. There is also a one-day digital workshop for $100. There are only 36 spots available per day, so if you want to enroll, do not delay completing your application.

The Lime Rock MPW is your opportunity to learn and improve your skills, at the most scenic race track in North America. And you'll be taught by the top motorsports photographer working today.

SCCA_Club_Logo_2The next set of races at Lime Rock Park are the Sports Car Club of America NARRC run-offs, Friday and Saturday, October 1-2. “NARRC” stands for the North Atlantic Road Racing Championship, and the October 2 races are the season finales for every SCCA class in the Region: it determines who goes to the SCCA National Run-offs and who has to stay home! This is great racing, trust us – everything from the thundering GT1 Corvettes and Mustangs to the hyper-quick Formula Fords and Formula Vees are racing hard for double points. Advance tickets are $10, at the gate, $15. This is a great way to spend an early fall day at the Park, don’t miss it!
