Nathan J. Cook: sold his tools for a ticket to Lime Rock Park

In the middle of the track, Lime Rock is it's own world.  I have been going to every major event since I was 12 or 13, and I am 25 now.  Lime Rock Park is like a virus - racing best described by Sam Posey.

Every year weather I can afford it or not I do whatever it takes to get myself there.  I remember one year, it was a Memorial Day weekend when we saw Trans-Am at Lime Rock.  I personally sold all my tools and the box they were in to pay for the weekend just so I wouldn't miss the event.

You meet a lot of really nice people and to what the documentary says, The Secret Valley Of Racing, it is a place filled with long term relationships.  In the past three years alone I have got at least 30 people to go to the track each year and they all have awesome things to say.

I think one of the things that is so awesome and it never fails, is how on the first night you are there for a weekend you can get out of your car and walk threw the camping area and almost immediately you hear someone say "Hey!  How have you been."   And last but not least, the way you can walk through the campground at night and everytime you can pick out the things that are always there....good music coming from everywhere,  groups of people talking up a storm about years past, the smell of the hundreds of campfires and the neverending FLASHLIGHT WARS!!

PS:   Keep up the good work and I can't wait to see what you guys have up your sleeves this coming year.  I'm excited just thinking about it and come to think of it..........I dunno yet how I am going! :-)
