Lou Giovannetti: how can I chose one memory?

How can I chose the famous memories of Lime Rock Park.  Each and every time I visit this beautiful race track I get wonderful memories.  

If I have to pick one event that was truly a pinnacle event, I have to say it was the 2001 Rennsport Reunion.  Not only was I surrounded by the many wonderful cars of Porsche, I met all the stars of the cars.  Getting autographs from the likes of Brian Redman, Sam Posey, Hearly Haywood, Rodger Penski, and late Bob Atkin and many other wonderful famous drivers and owners.  I actually got to sit in the famous Martini Porsche 917K and even a quick chat with Paul Newman!

When I was asked by James Redman how I like the event, my reply was that I must have gotten into a fatal car crash driving over to the track, died and went to Porsche heaven!  The weather was stellar and the sights and sounds of those wonderful German cars singing their symphony throughout the valley of the landscape was truly a most memorable time.This is Lou Giovannetti and this is one of my many memorable events at Lime Rock Park.
