Jim Wallace: there is no place like Lime Rock Park...

I have been attending race events at Lime Rock Park for over ten (10) years and my favorite memory is each and every year.  Like an annual pilgrimage I drive about 200 miles from Cherry Hill, New Jersey to the best race park in the east.  Despite the distance, the ride is always inviting as I often bring a friend or relative to introduce them to my haven.  More often than not they too turn into devoted LRP fans.

In addition to packing friends and a lawn chair, I am never without my camera.  Over the years I have captured memorable photos sufficient to fill many albums.  And like my camera, 35 mm and now digital, the track is always improving; from dirt to paved pits, new time tower, and museums in the Midway just to mention a few.  And variety – from vintage to Petite Le Mans the action is always the best at Lime Rock.  Not to mention the competitors, fans and staff alike.  There is no place like Lime Rock Park; no place like Lime Rock Park; no place like Lime Rock Park…
